Pizza – That should be enough. Just Pizza!

The Real Story of the Microwave Pizza Evolution
Microwaving frozen pizza has been around forever. The internet had the original 5‑minute method, and that’s exactly where I learned it. It worked, it was simple, and it was the standard for a long time.

My contribution came in the middle:
I started using a paper‑bowl clamshell — two bowls inverted and sealed together — to create a steam‑pressure environment. It didn’t change the timing, but it changed the quality. The crust softened evenly, the toppings heated better, and the whole thing came out more consistent than the basic method.

It wasn’t a replacement for the original idea.
It was an upgrade.

Fast‑forward to today, and Amazon releases a personal pizza that cooks in 2½ minutes and just happens to fit a clamshell perfectly. The size, the shape, the timing — all of it lines up with what the clamshell method needs to work at its best.

This isn’t about credit or calling anyone out.
It’s simply the truth of how things evolved:

– The internet created the 5‑minute microwave pizza.
– I improved it with the clamshell method.
– Amazon refined it further with optimized size, shape, and timing.

It’s a natural progression — and I happened to be the interim step.
